Nanny Background Checks

Minding Multiples conducts the same thorough background check on each and every nanny and babysitter. This way, you get top notch child care services from nannies and babysitters with impeccable background records.

The background check takes place once a nanny has accepted the placement offer from a hiring family. Since most of our babysitters are nannies who make themselves available for evening and weekend babysitting, they will have already undergone screening.


Our background checks include:

• FBI Level Background Check in every state in which the nanny has resided for the past 7 years
• Sex Offender Check
• Social Security Verification
• Motor vehicle check for suspensions, tickets and/or accidents in every state in which the candidate has resided
• Drug Screening (before hire or spot check during employment)

In addition, Minding Multiples performs the following verifications for all of its nanny and babysitter candidates:

• Completion of Agency Application
• Minimum Education: H.S. Diploma/G.E.D.
• Educational Verification
• In-person Interview
• Agency Verifiable Childcare Experience/References
• Legal Citizenship Status 
• CPR & First Aid Training/Certification
